Sustainable Solutions Talk at Gerhardt Braun Gallery in Palma
Gerhardt Braun Gallery is hosting the first “Sustainable Solutions Talk” — a conference about sustainability, climate change and solutions. The event will take place next Tuesday, 4th February 2020.
The following guests will be discussing sustainability on stage:
– Aniol Esteban is a marine biologist and environmental economist who has devoted most of his career to reconciling the economy and the environment. Before moving to Mallorca to lead Marilles Foundation, he worked for 15 years in the UK explaining how nature conservation is key to economic prosperity and people’s wellbeing. The sea is his passion, and if he had his way, he would rarely be sighted above water.
– Paola Marcon is the General Manager of the Seabin Project. Their goal is clear, provide practical and tangible solutions to reduce the plastics in our Oceans which is one of the world’s greatest problems. Find out more about how their journey started with a simple idea: “If we can have rubbish bins on land then why not have them in the Ocean?”
– Sarah Kinloch is a drone pilot and filmmaker from London who supported “Oceans in danger” with footage. She is a mum and very dedicated to sustainable living and will show us easy ways of being more sustainable in everyday live.
– Martina Hirschmeier is a host and filmmaker based in Palma. With her production company www.Martina.Media she produced “Oceans in danger”. She came up with the idea of people having the possibility to adopt a part of the Mediterranean Sea. For just 20 € donated, one can adopt the size of a soccer field for a marine protected area in this way everyone can help the fish population to recover. She will be hosting the event.
The event will take place on Tuesday, 4th February 2020 at 12:30 p.m. in the Art Palace in Palma, Calle Sant Feliu no. 10.
